I guess you could say, the entrepreneurial spirit is in my blood. My family owned full-service restaurants, deli’s, carwashes and beer & wine stores. In 2002 my husband and I bought an auto repair shop. This was different from all the other businesses my family had ever owned. But business is business and we worked hard to make it successful.

Two kids and many successful business goals set and achieved, fifteen years later we were ready to sell our profitable shop and reinvent ourselves.

We always had a bookkeeper and thought he was the best until we decided to sell the shop. Yes, our books were completed the 20th of every month but we never had a conversation about the business. Of course he produced the reports necessary as we asked for them. Never once did he meet with us to explain the health of our shop’s finances or the numbers in the reports. We never communicated from a business level. I always felt we were missing that piece in our relationship. There was no one in my business community that heard of bookkeeping services in which they provide educated support by reviewing numbers with business owners, a type of consulting along with the bookkeeping skills.

After we sold the shop, I came to realize guiding other shop owners is what I want to do. I always liked numbers and watching money grow so bookkeeping seemed like a natural avenue to take. Not only by consulting but by sharing in the experience allowing them to grow their shops. This process starts with bookkeeping. Helping shop owners understanding their money, puts them in a thriving repair business without giving them more tasks to complete daily. It answers their daily question, “Where does my money go?” I love serving auto repair shops, one because I know how little time you have in a day, two how fast your money can be spent and three I know the road you travel and I strive to help you with your business goals.
